I force my eyes to open and see a packet of aspirin and a glas of water. Slowly I sit up and look around. I am home.
On a chair nearby are my clothes, neatly folded up. I see that the room is clean and tidy. I take the aspirin and notice a piece of paper on the table: "My dear, the breakfast is on the table in the kitchen. I am out early to go shopping. I love you!"
So I go into the kitchen and yes, there is the ready made breaktfast, a morning paper and my daughter already eating.
I ask her: "Girl, what has happened yesterday?" She answers: "Well dad. You came home at 3 am, were totally drunk and almost passed out. You destroyed some furniture, puked in the floor and almost poked your eye out when you walked against the door knob."
Confused I continue asking: "But why is everything so tidy and the breakfast on the table?" "Oh that." she answers, "Mom dragged you in the bedroom, put you on the bed adn then tried to pull off your pants, but you cried out: "Take off your hands bitch, I am happily married!"
By increasing the capabilities of the on-site search, Facebook is hoping to become your one and only portal to the web. If Facebook can get its users to perform on-site searches, it can not only keep you on the site longer, but like Google, it can gather even more information about its users through their searches. This stuff is advertising gold.
they do have a bit of traffic but I have to say I never searched for anything other than people on Facebook.
It was as though we weren’t making the right amount of money on every one of our clicks. We measure the amount of revenue we get per click. What was happening was we were getting the same number of clicks and less revenue.
Otherwise the article is about bankers and Obama but I really liked that quote from the start. :)
Techcrunch calls it stabilizing but I am not really sure if that is the case in relation to adimpressions available probably growing faster ;)
According to Google, Teracent's offerings will help the company to improve display advertising on the Web. Since acquiring DoubleClick in 2007, Google has released a number of new features to improve its display ads
This will be interesting, especially how they will get agencies to do the work to build the templates for those. Otherwise interesting idea.
But here’s the rub: One notable ingredient of Weather.com’s success is its robust ad sales. It refused to deal with ad networks like Google’s. It has its own salespeople, something Cameron says has become “religion” within the company. By default, that religion makes Google an infidel. Weather also shuns AdMob to serve mobile ads for its mobile offering.
Good move by Weather.com to have only their own sales team. Bold move too.
As a result, CBS Interactive will immediately discontinue the use of third-party ad networks for display advertising across all of its sites worldwide.
Respect! Good move.
